Busted. Ron Lusk caught me stealin' his HTML. Heehee. I'm bad I know. I do this a lot actually... my MiniBlog code doesn't have a wysiwyg editor yet, so if I can I copy html to save myself some typing I just go for it. Well, a friend of mine (Joel Dietz) had complained that he couldn't tell my posts from reposts. I started surrounding material I commented on with blockquote tags, and stuff I posted without comment with div tags. In either case, I use the otherpost class to make them stand out on my blog (in case anyone actually visits the page itself). When someone reposts something of mine, it turns up in the news aggregator in orange, giving me the pleasant impression that someone actually is listening. When I saw Russ' repost, the first thing I thought was that Victor or Russ had decided my idea was worthwhile, and had themselves started using the otherpost class. (See, Russ, my first thought was not of base plagiarizing, but of enlightened use of the same highlighting mechanism.) However, after inspecting Russ' and Victor's pages, I found that—to my sorrow—a grievous theft by wrongful reposting had occurred. Ah, the weight of the world! |
"You can't go wrong practicing by playing music. Ultimately, it's what the goal is... however watch out for the trap of not working on technique." Daniel comments on my practice notes. Very helpful, thanks. [Steven's Weblog] Save this for my guitarist friends (applies to keyboard players as well, though...except the part about our instrument delaminating, I guess...) |
More clicks than needed. I'm afraid the UI addition suggested here was so compelling I had to repost this. Love it. |
