Je vais dépouiller à 20h, plus de commentaires à mon retour...

J'habite a deux pas de deux bureaux de votes (où je ne vote pas, mystère de la répartition).

Il est 10h30, et y'a du monde! Le vote sera-t-il massif?

Vu d'ici, c'est loin d'être aussi évident. C'est ce que tout le monde souhaite (les millions qui étaient dans la rue, ceux qui n'ont pas voulu y venir), mais on plus profond de moi j'arrive pas à me convaincre que Le Pen n'a aucune chance de passer.

Sinon, une bonne analyse de JLG. Evidement, ce qui arrive n'est pas la faute des abstentionnistes (même si voter est un devoir). J'ai moi-même failli ne pas voter. Aucun des candidats ne me faisait envie.

La gauche a fait de bonnes choses ces dernières années, mais elle a aussi oublié une grosse partie de son électorat. Et son programme pour les élections était sans convictions.

Bah, on va aller voter alors!

Pas de gants (c'est illégal, c'est irrespectueux des institutions, c'est dans la rue qu'il faut manifester son indignation).

Mais c'est pas une partie de plaisir. Si on m'avait dit qu'un jour je voterai Chirac... Comment voter pour quelqu'un pour lequel on a n'a aucune envie, pire, aucun respect?

I was in that demonstration. I have never seen that many people. Too many to count, something between 500,000 and a million.

And the atmosphere was quiet and friendly. Lots of youth too young to vote and coming 'cause there's no other way for them to voice their opinion. Lots of older people, who actually know things that can be done by the kind of people we were protesting against.

Now we have to vote again on Sunday. No opinion polls are published, they failed so miserably in the first round that they are just keeping quiet.

I just hope that Chirac's victory will be so huge that it will have no political value in terms of the usual right/left oposition. Just like Bush's victory is so close that it has no such value. And all Chirac will have to do is live up to the historical responsibility, which I don't think too much about because I'm not convinced he's up to the task and I might just put in a blank vote.

The euro.weblogs.com RCS server seems to be left completly unattented. Referer counting has been broken for a few days. Very little updates show up.

Only sign of life: the theme changed!

A few days ago, Dave Winer started the Headlines From The NY Times weblog. The headlines from the Userland specific feeds which caused a lot of talk a few weeks back are automatically posted to the weblog.

That weblog is interesting indeed. Why? 'Cause it has RSS feeds! Yes the headlines provided by the New York Times to Userland users via some custom format are now available in plain RSS, including all categories...

I wonder if this was silently done on purpose or if it's just an oversight...

Faut-il maintenant voter Chirac au deuxième tour? Le Chirac du "Bruit et l'Odeur"?

Est-ce c'est la faute aux média?

Toute la campagne, ils ont fait les gros titres sur l'insécurité, sur le thème que Le Pen a toujours proclamé...

Entre Le Pen + Maigret + St Josse, ça fait près de 25% qui ont voté pour le racisme et contre la démocratie.

La tête du journaliste de Canal au QG de Le Pen. Il a visiblement peur...
