Directory Links

There are many kinds of Links in the Radio Manila Frontier etc. world that I want to learn how to do.

Directory Links are where we have a column of file folders with good descriptive names.  When people click on them, they are taken either to sub-folders or to ultimate web site urls.

I found documentation for doing this on Radio Userland thanks to Skip Dodson's Tutorial on Radio Manila and Frontier, but it seemed a bit daunting at first glance, until I looked at Craig Burton's example that seemed not much more complicated than Manila cool links.  I am not yet a scripting programmer, but perhaps I can copy someone else's script, then change a few words to the names of my folders, then see how to add folders from what works, assuming it works.

In Manila, I am able to create a post that mentions some "planned post" before I actually have a story shortcut called planned post, then when I do have such an animal, it shows up as a link where I had earlier stated my intentions.  I hope to see if the Directory Links can work the same way.

Radio Userland has an example of a Directory, where we can click on the orange XML icon to see the HTML code used to create that Directory.  I wonder what will happen if I copy that.  I placed it in a story on my site called "Userland Directory in HTML" so as not to mess up here.  Well that did not work, so back to the mental drawing board.
