Al Introduction

This is an essay of introducing Al Macintyre to people who find out about me thanks to this weblog.  I have stated some info about myself in earlier fragments, and within the context of Al Categories and Al Essays on what interests me enough to go to this trouble.

  • Sep 11, 2002, I posted some biographical info.
  • Aug 18, 2002 I posted a chart of my major interests and where I might take this weblog in the future.
    • Tentative plans for future additions to my Radio documentation collection.
    • Reminders to myself on which of my essays I intended to add to some time.
    • In general, I tend to research topics to death, trying to wrap my mind around all the possibilities, procrastinating about selections, thus you"ll tend to find a lot of reference lists accumulating in my Radio Stories, with more than enough info to help most mere mortals.
      • Ask me about similar essays that I created prior to getting into Weblogging, such as pages and pages of Jokes organized by categories, my essay on Computer Security Myths, tips for playing various games, and so forth.
    • I am a book a holic residing in Evansville Indiana, periodically running out of space to store my thousands of books and magazines etc.  Any time I take a carton of books to a 2 for 1 trade in place, I invariably come back with more than I took there because I cannot resist picking up various titles new to me.  If you are in the area, come with an empty box or two and I will probably give you some stuff I am done with ... my collection is mainly 20th century history, science fiction, and computer history.
  • Sep 7, 2002 I shared what a business associate had to say about my hobby of trying to help other people.  I do have other pursuits for my time.
  • Sep 1, 2002 I shared some info about my finances, in the context of trying to understand the stock market.
