Macintyre

As we use search engines, and link to other people posts and discussions, invariably we bump up against other people with the same or very similar name.  I thought it might be useful to reference who is in the same Macintyre clan as me, and identify various other Macintyres that are out there in Internet land with whom I am not related except we share almost the same name or identity.  Assume that none of these other Macintyres are any relation to me unless I say so here.

I am Al Mac, short for Alister William Macintyre, living and working in Evansville Indiana, with an ERP called BPCS, at a company that designs electrical wiring harnesses, mainly design and make to order for Original Equipment Manufacturers.  I was born 8 Feb 1944 in Aberdeen Scotland to A.J. Macintyre and Sheila Scott.  My sister Susan lives and works in Cincinnati Ohio.  Notice that I spell my name all lower case, no capital I, no c floating in space.  Of course people are free to call me anything they like, and often do, such as MacAlister, and Alister is also often mis spelled because of the other variants out there.  My e-mail address includes MacWheel which is a play on my surname ... Mac in tyre ... MacWheel ... get it?

Apparently there is another Al Macintyre who works with the same ERP called BPCS in North Carolina.

Here is a link to MacIntyre Electrical Estimating Software using Microsoft Excel which sounds like it might be extremely useful where I work, but this is another Macintyre other than myself.

Alasdair MacIntyre (notice both first name and surname spelled a bit different from me) is a renouned author on Christian Philosophy and Moral Theory.

F. Gwynplaine MacIntyre (notice spelling with capital I) is a poet and science fiction writer.  I enjoy reading this kind of stuff, but I do not have the word smith talents to create it.
