Soviet Veterans and Demobilization

Stalin had a more radical approach to the problem of demobilization:  He executed and exiled anyone percieved as a threat.  Alexandr Solzenitzen served with distinction as a tank commander in WWII.  When he demobilized, he was arrested for association with the menchevic cause and was exiled to "The Gulag":
