MP3
Lately I've seen an increasing number of links to Bob Cringley's site. I've been reading his weekly column for three years. It's excellent. Last week's piece discussed the future of audio and video on the web and gave lots of food for thought.
It really made me want to move American Invisible to MP3, and I'm working hard to make that happen. What do you think? Should I be the reader even though I'm barely trained? I'm a little worried that I'll make a fool of myself in public, though perhaps that particular horse has already bolted.
Hey, what if I eliminate the text version altogether?
On a different note, people keep asking why they can't download the book. That's a good question, and one that I'll address once Chapter 8 is finished. If you have feelings on this topic, please leave a comment. What level of granularity would work best? One entire chapter per file? What format? Ultimately I probably should move towards PDF but I wonder if ASCII would be simpler and offer more flexibility initially. And what about RTF?
Just for the time being I'm going to avoid ebook formats.
