But truthfully. This is more about fuel efficiency and dependency reduction rather than terrorism. Last year Senators McCain (R-Arizona) and Kerry (Massachussets) sponsored a bill that called for increased fuel efficiency standards.
Then again, an alternative strategy might be to get the auto companies to develop a secondary automobile 'fuel'that must be purchased after expended.

I was pleasantly surprised, amused and excited to find that blogger extrodinaire, John Robb, may be the next switcher. After a decade and a half, he's moving to Macintosh. I'd recommend the new 17" Powerbook -- considering he's looking at a 3 year amortization and possession cycle. Now before he makes his other major 2003 purchase, he'll want to read this post.
