Game #2: Steelers vs. Jaguars [34-6]

Game 2:

Steelers vs. Jaguars

After winning their first game on Saturday, the Steelers came right back to face the Jaguars the following Monday night.  The offense stumbled in the first quarter giving up an interception that resulted in a Jaguar’s touchdown.  The extra point was no good, leaving the score at 0-6.  But a couple plays after the kick-off return, Ryan Hilt (#55) took a power dive play down the field for 60 yards and an answering touchdown.  The extra point was good with a fake reverse to Joe Ippolito (#87) taking the Steelers ahead 7-6.

The Steelers opened the second quarter with an amazing 40-yard pass play from Tim Bado (#27) to Jacob Dosselman (#10) for a second Steeler touchdown.  Ryan Hilt scored the extra point making the score 14-6.  The Steeler defense came back strong with Jeff Leets (#76) sacking the quarterback and Alex Herrera (#74) recovering a fumble.  When the offense took over, they drove down the field and ended the half by scoring on a 4-yard power dive to Joe Ippolito (#87).  The extra point attempt was no good, leaving the score at 20 to 6 as they headed into half time.

The Steeler defense hit the second half hard again with P.J. Serio (#86) sacking the Jaguars’ QB and causing a fumble recovered by Gabe Bundy (#73).  The offense then did it again with Ryan Hilt scoring on a 3-yard power dive.  Dave Iacoponi (#39) took in the extra point and the score stood at 27-6.  The Jaguars then tried taking it up the middle but couldn’t get past the Steelers awesome defense.  When the Steelers got the ball back they handed off a fake to Dave Iacoponi (#39) who proceeded to race 80 yards down the field for the fifth Steeler touchdown of the game.  Tim Bado (#27) followed it up by running in the extra point.  As time wound down, the Steelers stood tall, winning their second game with a score of 34-6.
