About PULSE PULSE is a free service, gathering new and noteworthy Internet resources for mental health providers, family members of individuals with mental illness, consumers of mental health services and consumer advocates. All resources posted to PULSE, with very rare (and clearly noted) exceptions, are available for free on the Internet, though in some cases, registration is required (please see the section of the PULSE USER'S GUIDE on items requiring registration). The resources gathered here come from a wide variety of sources in the US, Canada, UK and New Zealand - newspapers and news services, online journals and publications, reports published by various organizations and web sites that are especially informative or useful to mental health professionals, consumers and consumer advocates. PULSE is updated most weekdays, with links to new resources appearing as they come to my attention. The PULSE service is now produced with (and hosted by) Radio Userland, employs search technology by Atomz and offers readers the option of daily email alerts through services provided by Bloglet. If you have any suggestions about how PULSE can be improved, please contact me directly. I am always interested in expanding the set of organization web sites, online publications and news services from which items are selected - and especially interested in expanding the sources in Canada, the UK and New Zealand.
