MOVIE - GODSEND - Review Rating $$ (OUT OF 10)
STARRING - Greg Kinnear (Paul Duncan), Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (Jessie Duncan), Robert De Niro (Dr. Richard Wells), Cameron Bright (Adam Duncan), Jenny Levine (Sandra Shaw), Deborah Odell (Tanya) & Janet Bailey (Cora Williams).
DIRECTOR - Nick Hamm (The Hole, Talk of Angels & The Very Thought of You)
Godsend is so bad it barely rates a review so I'll keep this short. The movie can't decide if it wants to be a serious morality tale or a full fledged horror flick. The result of this indecision is predictable. The junk science and sparse morality are laughable and the "horror" is uninspired and unoriginal.
I haven't seen De Niro give a worse performance in a long time. Unlike Al Pacino, in The Recruit, he doesn't even try to save this dog. Kinnear and Romijn-Stamos don't do us any favors either.
If you like having your intelligence insulted and wasting your hard earned money then I heartily recommend going to see Godsend, one of the worse movies of 2004 and the year isn't even half over yet.
Running time - 102 minutes
