Love, of the untrue variety, is a minefield of emotions involving pride, hyprocrisy and self-delusion. Closer captures this bitter reality better than any recent similar film (See Wicker Park & We Don't Live Here Anymore).

Julia Roberts gives her best performance in recent memory and Natalie Portman (Garden State) lights up the screen.

Closer may be difficult for some to watch because both Love and Truth hurt.
