If you want to do something good for the world, buy Fair Trade coffee next time you pick up a pound. Currently there is a crisis for the growers of coffee in most developing countries. Growers are seeing almost zero revenues from their labor. One way to help in stopping this disparity is to purchase Fair Trade coffee. Read the OXFAM Report. Also, NPR Reported on this last weekend. I just finished watching the Civil War series on PBS last night. What a fine piece of television and creative work. I was truly mesmerized by the stories, photos, music and incredible production. There was a letter read toward the end of the first episode by a Major a week before losing his life at the Battle of Bull Run. It's one of the most eloquent and haunting letters I've ever read and to hear it read with the montage of photos and music of the period is truly an amazing experience.
