iPosted It...Medicine

What is this?
This is a place to follow-up on ideas from clinical rounds. Posts are recorded by day.

(Let's see how it evolves. Lots of possibilities. ...Open to your ideas as they strike you.)

How do I get around?
A. Click underlined words (hot text).
B. Use the Navigator (list of links along left side of page).
C. Click the calendar to see previous posts

How do I get back to where I started?
Use the Browser "Back" arrow as usual.

Can I make a comment?
Click "Comment" within the post. Then fill in the comment form.

If I make a comment will my email address be posted to the web?
No. Only the name you indicate will be displayed.

Can this be read by anyone on the web?
Yes. Patient privacy and anonimity is respected. This site is not affiliated with TriHealth or Good Samaritan Hospital. Purpose of the information is educational. To reach me directly, click the small envelope to the left on each page.

How was it made?
I used weblog software, Radio Userland. (Click their icon at the bottom of the page for more info.) Even before choosing Radio Userland I did a Google search on "medical rounds weblogs." This returned a site by Jacob Reider, who uses Radio for teaching Family Medicine.)

What are the orange buttons? (One says XML and one has a coffee cup?)
If you already subscribe to Radio then you can subscribe to this weblog by clicking the coffee mug. The other button reveals the XML code of this page, for some reason.

What is the envelope button?
To send me an email, click the tiny envlope.

How can I make a weblog like this?
Explore weblog software (Radio Userland, MoveableType, Blogger, Greymatter). Radio has been around a while, costs $40.00 and comes with web server space included. Lots of features, well documented once you find your way. (For specific help in making your first hot text link, try these tips.) For a tool to format text in HTML, BBedit from Bare Bones Software is invaluable.
