Jetta and Adobe
[Post backdated from 03/20/03 to 02/09/03]
Crystal and Nate picked up their new Jetta. We have not seen it.

Received Adobe Premiere evaluation copy. Don't know when I'll have time to test it.

Cars, Chihuahuas, and Drugs, Oh My!
[Post backdated from 03/20/03 to 02/08/03]
I met Nate at the Volkswagen dealer to sign the 'no-title' Saturn trade-in.

Put our Chihuahua, Misty, on valium to try 'healing' her baboon butt. This obviously won't actually heal it, but might keep her from eating herself. She is fine in every other way; good appetite, playful, attentive. Just high-strung when we're not home, nibbling on her butt, leaving it bare. She had previously taken an anti-anxiety medicine for almost a month.

Visit to vet, $10.
Doggy valium, $20.
Chihuahua with baboon butt, priceless.

New Volkswagen Jetta
[Post backdated from 03/20/03 to 02/07/03]
Crystal and Nate bought a new Volkswagen Jetta 4-cylinder turbo, trading in the Saturn SL-1 we bought her in May 2000. The dealer is having it driven down from northern California. Kids told us about it because they needed the title for the Saturn. I was not able to locate it.

Remember Columbia
[Post backdated from 03/20/03 to 02/01/03]
Space shuttle Columbia disintegrated and burned up over Texas, killing entire crew of 7. This was mission STS-107. Columbia first flew in 1981. This was 113th shuttle flight and flight 28 for Columbia. Vehicle was traveling Mach 18 (12,000 mph?) at 207,000 feet. This was the 144th manned U.S. Space mission. Lost contact 19 minutes before scheduled touchdown, at about 9AM local time in Texas. As Ronald Reagan said after the Challenger 7 accident: "We shall never forget them nor the last time we saw them, as they prepared for their mission and waved good-bye and slipped the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God." Based on High Flight by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.

Maria worked all day at the college, until 9:30PM, helping with state reports. I worked on wedding slideshow DVD testing. Sonic trims display time to match music length, but very poorly. Pinnacle Studio 8 won't read AVI capture from Roxio, though my other players will.
