Bryan left for DefCon 12; hack-meister central. Sweeeeet. Nice gig if you can get it. John D will join him from Boston. I expect a good time will be had by all.

Big Band Afternoon
Maria and I spent 3 hours listening to "Esquire", Red Malone's Big Band. This 15-piece group, playing at Bocci's Cellar in Santa Cruz, provided a very relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Blogger Still Bites
Tried Blogger again around 1:30AM. Thought it was improved, but their servers went down around 2:00AM. Same unreliable crap as in 2002 when I last used it.

Dinner With Friends
A wonderful dinner evening at Tom and Nanette's. Life does indeed have good moments.

Maria's Birthday
Celebrated by looking at two houses in town. Cute glass swan bud vase and her little souvenir from the Alaska cruise.

Early Birthday Dinner
Maria and I looked at a new pod house near the police station, then we made chicken marsala as an early birthday dinner. Crystal and Nate were at his game. Bryan was here but Kate was at extreme frisbee. Nanette and Alex came but Tom was in Arizona.

Sparkletones Did Not Sparkle
Attended a 3-hour 50's revival at Bocci's Cellar in Santa Cruz. Music by the Sparkletones was fair, but most vocals not memorable.

Downloaded and installed Picasa software for organizing photos. Not impressed since I already have Adobe PhotoShop Album 2.0. Uninstalled Picasa.

Lookout Makes The Big Time
Lookout, the wonderful Outlook index and search software which I've used since March, was acquired by Microsoft. Congratulaitons to the Lookout team!
