SUSPENDED: Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Cleveland Cavaliers

CLEVELAND -- Associated Press reports Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas was suspended by the NBA for one game on Monday after being arrested last month for drunken driving. Ilgauskas will be suspended without pay and will miss the regular-season opener on Oct. 29 in Sacramento, the league said. Last week, the 7-foot-3 Ilgauskas pleaded no contest to drunken driving and was sentenced to one year's probation. A 30-day jail sentence was suspended and Ilgauskas was fined $1,000.

The 27-year-old Ilgauskas, whose career has been slowed by foot injuries, was stopped in suburban Cleveland on Sept. 15 for erratic driving. He failed field sobriety tests, and his blood-alcohol level was 0.167 -- above Ohio's legal limit of 0.10.

Illinois State Police Sgt. While preparing to tow his car, police searched it and found a .40-caliber gun, Winterberg said.
