This is a great idea. Take pictures of all of the points in which the full degree marks of lattitude and longitude converge (every 49 miles!) - called a confluence point.

A project that is attainable with the scope of it being within reach. I'd consider allowing even greater detail if people were interested - maybe a photograph every half-degree.
