This Salon article on radio bandwidth is very interesting. Some of the ideas that are espoused are resoundingly simular to what is discussed on the World of Ends website, which I've mentioned before. Of course this would come out after I already submitted my Spectrum Protection letter.

I went and got the developer version of OpenOffice. First impressions: It has a more WinXP look with the icons and it can generate PDF files with the click of a button...no acrobat install needed. Two cool new features.

The downside to this whole thing is that I really wanted to try out that DocBook filter stuff, but haven't been able to get it to work. I've tried everything I can think of, but maybe it's just a versioning problem. I certainally hope so.
