ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

 

     Without the support of my wife Glenda, and three offspring, Loryn, Llewellyn and Zanyta in allowing me hours of seclusion, this task would not have been possible. Members of my family have contributed in special ways, Loryn in shaping some of the ideas in practical terms and editing the documentand my wife in endless hours of supervising the printingof the document. The work of David Butt, my supervisor, must also be acknowledged in that he has been instrumental in the shaping of the task.

     This entire dissertation, along with supporting files, is stored and remains a truly simulated text on the hard disk of my computer; the text has now been transformed into hypertext for future referencing and use, all of which would not be possible except for technate abilities and the potential afforded by electronic language.
