IOUG and the ILLINET/OCLC Services Office seek mentors and trainers for 2003-2004:
"The ILLINET/OCLC Services Office is once again recruiting volunteer mentors and trainers for the 2003 – 2004 season. If you are willing to share your expertise with any of the OCLC Services please let us know. As always, we are particularly interested in librarians who are proficient with cataloging – either general cataloging or cataloging in a particular format.
Serving as a volunteer trainer is both professionally rewarding and enhances your own knowledge and skills as you work with fellow colleagues. The Illinois OCLC Users Group will reimburse trainers for any necessary travel expenditures incurred during the training visit. We would be happy to accommodate any travel or scheduling restrictions you might have.
This year we are also seeking experts who are willing to serve as resource persons or mentors to other librarians who have cataloging questions. If you are willing to share your expertise in this way, please let us know.
Interested persons should call Laurie Bartolini at 217.524-6313 or e-mail her at (lbartolini@ilsos.net)."
