The New Scientist article refered in this Slashdot piece confirmed what I though for a long time: Scientist are bad at quoting. A lot of them know they have to quote the "right" papers even if they haven't read it. "Quote you're enemy twice, your friend once" is common wisdom in the community...
I am back from my business trip, a very nice one. More later this week.
Only one (major) drawback: I badly sprained my back Thursday morning in Beijing. I can barely walk. I am waiting for the orthopedist to call me back. I am concerned by the intense pain. I don't want to be stuck in my plane seat at the end of the run in Friday, it will be a long one (Fukuoka -> Tokyo -> Toronto -> Montreal). Oh well...
