It's like listening to a middle-aged drunkard's iPod set to shuffle, but the Jack FM radio format is spreading across the dial. By Dave Demerjian. [Wired News: Top Stories]This is pretty interesting reading. If you have ever listened to Bob FM then you have a feel for what this article is talking about. When I work on the computer I typically have itunes on shuffle and I get a wide variety of music. I don't know what's coming next but I know I will like it. That's the concept behind Jack FM, or Bob FM or Mike FM, whatever its called where you listen. I guess mine is Dave FM - I had Jackson Browne a few minutes ago singing Somebodys Girl, followed by Geoge Thorogood and Bad to the Bone, now it's Led Zeppelin with Dazed and Confused, what next??? Anyway you get the idea - hit the link and you will know even more.

 Wired News: Top Stories

New Music - KT Tunstall, Eye to the Telescope; Alejandro Escovedo, Boxing Mirror; Twilight Singers, Powder Burns; Bruce Springsteen, The Seeger Sessions. Of these my favorite is the album by KT Tunstall with Bruce S. coming in a close second.

The music might be old or it might be new. Hopefully it will be good enough for me to feel like adding it to the playlist and the to our ongoing discussion. But I have been known to make a mistake now and then.

This is what's playing right now: Vienna Teng and the brilliant albumWaking Hour. The odds are that you don't know who I am talking about. She is a former Cisco employee who gave up the cube farm to follow herdream. We are so glad she did. I just wish American radio would giveher some air time. This woman can write, play and sing and stir mysoul. Think a combination of Tori Amos, Melissa Manchester, and SarahMcLachlan and you are on the right track. Yeah, she's that good. Sogood it makes my hairs stand on end and my brain ache.
