Free The Penguins
What is this all about? Well actually, yes, penguins. Really. And for those wondering, you are corrent this campaign was inspired by our county's resident doctor of peguinology Scott Yost. Here are the basic facts you need to know: 
1) Penguins, the original racially diverse creatures, are great ambassadors for our community.
2) Penguins are always dressed for success.
3) Penguins are native to a land with a long tradition of limited government interference in the daily lives of its inhabitants.
4) The Penguin is the unofficial mascot of the Libertarian Party. (Libertarians are too independent to have an official mascot.)
Much of the planning is still top secret at this point but, we can let you know that we are working at making Guilford County the most penguin friendly community north of the South Pole. And, confirming the rumors you may have heard, yes this does include turning the money losing Coliseum into a money making penguinarium, re-renaming the Grasshoppers to the Penguins and installing hundreds air conditioning units mounted on top of gigantic billboards all facing inward along the entire Greensboro loop. We can further confirm that all this will be done without the use of TIF's regardless of whether voters get tricked into passing Amendment One or not.
Bottom-line: Our noble endeavour seeks nothing less than to free the little bit of penguin in all of us in order to make Guilford County the envy of the state and the hemisphere. We will post further details as they develop. And, we remain open to citizen input.
