It's not always Helvetica then: reduce to the max. For about three quarters of a century now, the phrase 'Neue Schweizer Grafik' ('New Swiss Graphic Design') has been more than a denotative combination of words -- it has become a brand name... [xBlog: The visual thinking weblog | XPLANE]

The Penny Magazine is simply fantastic. The german edition (Greno 1985) is long out of print; here is the original and, best of all, it's online. Fabulous. The Penny Magazine, published every Saturday, was aimed at the working class. It was part of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge's program for liberal reform. for its reader, however, it was a source of information on subjects of general interest: everyday things like tea and coffee, well-known places in England, a series on animals and birds of Britain, descriptions of prsent-day manufacturing, even an American alaman and a serial of a personal account of an immigrant's problems. Poetry was published, too, and there are several illustrations in each issue. Penny Magazine Online Home Page

No idea what's going to happen there, but at present it's a very nice and clean layout - something you can't say about my pages, because I've no idea how to change the templates... David Stewart's Radio Weblog: "This page is a mess at the moment because I am messing around with the templates and editing the HTML. I wonder if it's a possibility to prevent access to the weblog whilst maintainance is underway?"

Another interesting german weblog. The guy apparently likes Raumpatrouille Orion, reason enough to mention him here. Wurchlog: "Anscheinend braucht es nur einen superfreundlichen Comiczeichner und schon verwandle ich mich in einen stotternden Idioten."
