Plastic Music. A harpsichord, made completely out of LEGO."With the exception of the wire strings, this instrument is entirely constructed out of LEGO parts--the keyboard, jacks, jack rack, jack rail, plectra, soundboard, bridge, hitch pins, tuning pins, wrestplank, nut, case, legs, lid, lid stick, and music stand are all built out of interlocking ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) plastic bricks and related pieces. And is playable."

This is funny. I can't help it. I find myself laughing at Ari Fleischer's stale response to everything. How many more years do we have to wait before this is over? Can I vote right now please???
-- White House Press Secretary, Ari Fleischer, said: "First of all, I've never heard of the fellow. Second, I'm not going to dignify it with a response." --

It's Maigret. Amazing. Having just finished reading a Georges Simenon biography (I can tell you, now THAT guy, he used to ... I won't go further. There might be children reading this blog.), Robert found the ultimate Maigret website. Covers. Texts. TV and Film. Just everything.Oh, and Simenon is not French. He's a Belgian.

Wow. John Byrne always ranks within the 'good artists'. In fact he's fabulous. Here's a good website about him. "link"Where's Neil Adams gone? His studio used to have a homepage, but I can't find it anymore. I think he was even better than Byrne, but then I don't want to start a flame war here on these pages. So I'll better keep my mouth shut wide open.

The tragedy of the Dodo. Ohhh - this website makes me sad. Lots of nice pictures though."dodo n., an extinct flightless bird, once a native of the island of Mauritius. Discovered 1598, extinct by 1681." "link"

Bremner Bird and Fortune. Their best video clips are at the Channel4 website. And all the transcripts of their shows. And they're sharp. And nasty. And brilliant. Also, their amazing 'Between Iraq and a Hard Place' is still online at Channel4. The complete show. Watch it. (All Real Player.)

Have a car. Finally- I found all the cars of Spirou and Fantasio. Oh, those toys...My link to the Turbot Traction and all the other toys doesn't seem to work anymore - can anyone confirm? Another French company out of business? Hope not. They had the Zorglumobil, or the Zyklopter, as it's in German. In large scale. Really big. I want one of those.

Have a cigar. Just below I've blogged the 'weirdest German weblog'. Now here's the weirdest TV-series, along the The Prisoner: Meet Nowhere Man, another guy who's lost his identity. And the first episodes, produced and written by Larry Herzog (who still can be found hanging around in the Nowhere Man Newsgroup), were more than fantastic, full with cross-references to The Prisoner. I'm glad the series finally has found a home on the web."The date is August 28, 1995. Thomas Veil, a photojournalist, has his identity erased by a mysterious conspiracy. His wife doesn't recognize him, the key to his house doesn't work, and his ATM cards are useless. People are chasing him, but he doesn't know why, except that it has something to do with " Hidden Agenda ", a picture of an execution he took a year earlier that's missing from his studio. He has the negative, "they" want it, and the hunt is on. Tom veil is hunting for the truth, while "they" are hunting him for the negative."

Going down further. Here's the original Nemosuit (hey, that thing WORKS!). "The NEMOSUIT project took about seven months to complete. At the time of this writing, it is the World's only functional specimen of the diving gear seen in Disney's 20,000 Leagues."
