A picture named 4thfinger.jpgMore on Stiff Little Fingers. The Invaders unofficial website. Here's another one. Thanks to groc for - erm - 'pointing' this out.

A picture named bone.gifHelp. The Help-Site Computer Manuals offers hundreds of Computer and Software manuals, links, FAQs and so on. Amazing.

A picture named morticians.jpgBeyond The Beat. Here's a nice 60s radio station. Via IT&W.

BEYOND THE BEAT GENERATION archives and publishes the entire, long forgotten 'wild' musical gems out of the great years of the sixties (1965-1969) to a bright audience by using today's technology as we call 'Stream Radio'.

A picture named Film_12_69_title.jpgCensorship. The cover of film 12/69 is online; more to follow. I've send a mail to the publishers and awaiting a reply. Let's hope I don't have to take the site down.

A picture named RomeJuly1997.jpgThey're Here. UFO Evidence. I'm scared now. The gallery UFO Photographs is great though.
9:32:53 PM     |

A picture named gopic.jpgSuspect Device. Oh - this must be 2004. Or is it 1984? Anyway, here's the Stiff Little Fingers. Their own MP3s don't seem to work, but that doesn't matter, because they can be found at Punk Rocker. And the picture is taken from yet another neglected website. Go for it.

"If it wasn't for your stiff little fingers nobody would know you were dead." So go the lyrics to "Stiff Little Fingers" by the Vibrators, released in '77 as the b-side to their "London Girls" single.

A picture named 38.jpgUnder the North Pole. The 1931 Nautilus Expedition to the Pole.

In 1931, Australian explorer Sir George Hubert Wilkins and a volunteer crew of submariners and scientists set out in a decommissioned U.S. Navy submarine to sail under water from Spitsbergen to the Bering Straits by way of the North Pole.

Another TrackBack Experiment: Down to Kosmonautentraum. Let's see whats happens. Probably nothing.

A picture named murnau.gifFilms Made of Concrete. The cover of film 12/67 is online, the 'Western Issue', together with the contents page and an ad for a book on 'German classic movies'.

Mortified, I found out the Publishing Company still exists. Guess I'll send them an email. Just to be on the safe side.

A picture named a01.gifRatcliff Highway. The Making of a Bande Dessinée. Interesting, but unfinished website about the development of a complete comic album by Dick Briel.

A picture named still10.jpgGolem. Again. Fantastic resource about Paul Wegener's movie The Golem. Stills, posters, and the script. Sorry - all in German - except for the stills and posters. Via Filmtagebuch.

A picture named Schmidt.jpgAnd I Thought it was Funny. The trouble with German humour is that Germany's so-called journalists always try to make it unfunny. I actually found yesterday's prime-time show very funny, if not innovative - for Germans. But there you go. I live in the UK, where nobody dissects silly comedy shows like they do in Germany, like - where's the deeper meaning in all of this? Hey, it was just silly. And I'm really sorry if I thought it was funny.

A picture named Fools.gifNow this is stupid. Bank of England hit by email hoax. Business: Bank of England is victim of a hoax email that asked businesses and the public to download software to protect their cash accounts. [Guardian Unlimited]

A picture named chelsea2.jpgThe Chelsea Girls. I've just scanned the title page of film 7/67, together with an article by Jonas Mekas about the 'New American Cinema'; an interview with Andy Warhol and a review of Chelsea Girls. It's all here. And I'm seriously thinking about setting up a proper website - the .mac homepage stuff might be good for photos, but for a documentation like this it just doesn't work. Well, let's see.
2:41:08 PM     |

A picture named BG068-PO.jpgGroovy. Wolfgang's Vault offers a huge collection of original rock concert posters, flyers, tickets and whatnot. Fab.

A picture named robot2.gifLanding a Probe on Mars. Fantastic article by Stuart Jeffries: Anyone seen a small spaceship?. Stuart Jeffries on the great art of British failure. [Guardian Unlimited]

Why hasn't the Beagle sent a signal? Because it is British, and because Mars has the wrong kind of clay on its surface. Terribly rich in iron, you see, completely unsuitable for Martian probe landings. British ones, at least.

A picture named Film_11_67_fisher2.gif1967 - those were the days. Film 11/67 is online, the Godard issue. Unfortunately I couldn't publish the Godard interview - it's by Gideon Bachmann and comes with 10 lines of US-Copyright notes - but I've scanned an interview with Terence Fisher of Hammer Films.
