A picture named energy.jpgLet's do the Erlenmeyer. Singing Science Records, with song titles like Zoom A Little Zoom or E-lec-tri-city. Fantastic collection of MP3s. Credits go again to WeltamDraht.

The Singing Science lyrics were very Atomic Age, while the tunes were generally riffs on popular or genre music of the time. We played them incessantly.

A picture named anim.jpgSweet Jane. It's live, comes with the complete intro by Messieurs Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter, and can be found on this website [MP3, 9.8MB], amongst other superb Old Fart Music.

This is a record to be played loud. Like a Formula One car, it doesn't really begin to perform until it's pushed close to the limit. As background music it isn't much, but powered up on a strong system loud enough to make enemies a quarter-mile away, Rock n Roll Animal -- recorded live at Lou Reed's Academy of Music concert December 21st, 1973 -- is, well, very fine. A picture named 1966prom.jpgThe Old Fart MP3 Competition. With a nudge, nudge, wink, wink towards IT&W: hey, hey... it's The Monkees! With tons of MP3 files. Groovy.

A picture named chesterfield.jpgMaster of Stage and Screen. Basil Rathbone. Huge website about the actor.

And here are some audio files for you: The Sherlock Holmes radio shows from the thirties; Basil Rathbone reading Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven. Fab. This is art.

A picture named st1.jpg"You dirty bastard! You dirty fucker! What a fucking rotter." Sex Pistol Steve Jones, known for his linguistic ability to call a spade a spade, is now hosting a Radio Show based in Los Angeles, called Jones's Jukebox. You can hear it from 7-9pm British summertime; everywhere else (well, LA time) it's from 12-2pm. Direct link is here, the transcript of the infamous Grundy interview here and the picture of Steve was stolen from this site. Via Apodal.
