Dan Mitchell on using Manila at De Anza College. On the Manila-Newbies mail list, Kelly Thomas from Southern Illinois University was interested in hearing some case studies from other companies and organizations that saved money using Manila to help start his own Manila server at the university. Super-DMCA report

A sub-committee took no action on the Georgia version of the MPAA model legislation.  An excellent turnout of telecommunications companies, local AEA and EFF reps, and individuals all spoke against the current version.  The author of the bill stated at the beginning of the hearing that he did not want any action taken as he knew there were problems with some of the language.

This session of the Georgia General Assembly ends tomorrow.  However, the legislation remains viable for next winter's term.
