Wolf at door
Why did the Administration wait until September to make its case against Iraq? White House chief of staff Andrew Card told The New York Times last week, ``From a marketing point of view, you don't introduce new products in August.'' - CNN.com, Sep 12, 2002, http://www.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/09/12/schneider.iraq/
On Sunday morning
Past the break of day
Turn on the cathode ray
And meet the Poet Warrior
Second Secretariat Wolfowitz
On meet the press
It’s Near august 2003
Just back from iraq
Where he Coptered extensively
From portepot to porta pot
With his portable aristotle
And enhanced water bottle
Whats your plan?
Asks mr russet
Whats the rationale for going to war?
You go to war based on your best assessment before you go to war.
Do you agree with Goss?
I dont know how he knows.
Could we have resolved this without war?
The cost of containing iraq was enormous.
Why?
Let me tell you a story.
A human suffered terribly at the bloody hands of saddam.
Is that fair?
Stop and think, sometimes thing go well
sometimes things go better.
Have some patience
Says mr wolfowitz
You cant write a plan
Says the wolf
Again the west
in the dessert
Of lawrence
We went to war
On our best assessment
If you wait til the picure is clear
Its too late
Then we wasted our time at the u of chi
Me i had five days off and
I’m dumb, soft
And blank enough
oh screen
Enough to pile on the pile again to meet the press
Wondering where the empire
Is taking us
Days
flyby
Like a catastrophic card trick,
Still watching the white horse
Jump through the circus hoop
Of military logic
but
This is an interlude
Bless`d
Sunshine on the deck of my patchouli
And we can wait
On next incursion
The poet warriors dont bring
Out new products In august
