Feds to Lift Natural Gas Drilling Restrictions? Industry lobbyists have urged Congress to lift natural gas drilling restrictions on federal lands in Utah and elsewhere due to shrinking supplies and rising prices. Meanwhile, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan testified today before a Congressional Committee that the natural gas shortage is creating problems for the economy.
