3. ...tv show?  my mom got me hooked on that 70's show, but i still think my fave is 24.

4. ...scent?  shaving cream (guys, not girls)

things are still going well.  the place with the job offer called but i'm procrastinating because i decided i wont take it in case i end up moving in august and i dont want to hear the offer since its likely too good to pass up.

gauge updated his journal with a video.  he decided to let me be in it.  its not that great, but its not bad either for a dog.  he's a pretty good actor.

the office drama abounds!  i ended up getting caught in this one cause i was at the wrong place at the wrong time.  at first i thought it was great since i ended up starting to build a good rapport with my manager, but it ended up turning ugly afterward.  since i'm honest and i was unassuming, i was dragged in only because of what i heard and my manager possibly thinks she cant trust me.  but maybe not.  i dont know.  i havent talked to her about it.  it hasnt changed our work relationship at all but it still bothers me a bit.  something was said but i wasnt the one who said it - yet she doesnt know that.  so she might think it was me.  :/

nick is already in portland :( but in a way thats good since jill wont be quite as busy and its more likely we'll get together.  i just feel bad i didnt get a chance to say goodbye.  then again we werent all that close.  well i guess we had our moments. 

i'm goin back to texas next weekend.  its gonna be short and the bf has some meeting so i wont see him much but it wont be so bad i think.  better to be short than not at all!

1. What does it say in the signature line of your emails?  my name my title my division and my extension.  though now that i'm temporarily in this new department, its my name the department and extension.  my personal email says nothing.

2. Did you have a senior quote in your high school yearbook? What was it? If you haven't graduated yet, what would you like your quote to be?  the only yearbook that said anything was my senior and that was just extracurricular activities.

3. If you had vanity plates on your car, what would they read? If you already have them, what do they say?  we all know what my plate says, but i'm thinking of getting a new one if i get a new car.  i looked it up and its not taken yet.  wcatsuk.  ;)  on an asu plate.  classic.

4. Have you received any gifts with messages engraved upon them? What did the inscription say?  um no.  my class ring from my first high school says my name but they smudged it up and i moved so i couldnt get it fixed.

5. What would you like your epitaph to be?  i dont know that i'll have one.  lol maybe something like "finally!"  haha  naw i'm thinking i won't have one.  if i do it'll probably just have my name.

i just had the mother of all interviews!  i had the first, second, and third all in one day.  i'm beat.  it was cool though and it went well.  i still dont think i'll take it if they offer it though.  i dont know.  depends on the salary.  work was a bearcat today though.  so i'm doubly beat!

gauge gets to go to the vet this weekend.  i'm so looking forward to that?  ha ha i'm just awaiting the damage.  i hate his vet but i guess bordatella and heartworm stuff isnt that difficult.

the bf comes tomorrow.  i think we get to celebrate my raise and new temp position.  yay!  i cant wait.  we're goin to my works happy hour friday to say goodbye to some people i work with.  he better behave! ;)

i'm soooooo looking forward to a 3 day weekend!  who's with me?  :D  yay for mlk!

my streak hasnt ended :)  my new dept rocks.  its a lot like my old dept was when i started in retirements - when i liked it more.  so its definitely a good thing.  my manager for some reason is letting me "do whatever i want" :)  i dont know why.  maybe the vp said something to her?  so i was talking to the vp at lunch and i mentioned i've always wanted to be in this group that i'm at now and she said she'd look into making it permanent.  kick ass. :)

i have an interview this coming week at that other place.  with my raise now i might get more than i am making now.  the lowest end of the range was more than i was making but now its less so i'll have to charm them.  i cant see myself taking it unless its more that i make but like i said the benefits are better, and they'll license me instead of me doing it on my own like i am now.  they called me last night and had even more openings that havent been posted yet that they want me to consider.  i'm supposed to call them back monday to let them know if i want to interview for those too or instead of this one.  its a lot to think about.  my work seems to have turned around at least a little bit.  i make a little more, i like this new dept a lot and if i get to stay that would be very cool, but what if i start at the new place and the way cool benefits take a long time to start?  its at the 101 and raintree so that would be just about the worst drive ever (hours are 9:30 - 6pm), and if i end up moving this summer that would be 3 jobs held in 2 years not counting the one i'd be trying for in the new place.  then again if it seems like a better place to work then it might be worth it.

holy crap 2004 is rockin major ass so far!  its only 7 days into the year and i'm in amazement. ok on to the stuff i can mention: 

• i am working in investment advisory the next 3 months.  the dept i've wanted for a long time. :)  bye bye retirements!  someone had a kid unexpectedly so i get to step in.  caused a lot of drama today though.  i start tomorrow.  :)
• i got a raise!  7.41%  which was over two times the standard.  hello!  lisa must rock :P
• i got a new watch!  my other one was unexpectedly broken so i got to get a whole new one.
• i have a pretty fair shot at a new job.  it pays more and has better benefits.  it would be more difficult, i'd be trading, and its a different firm, but it might be worth it.  we'll see how it pans out.  i have more bargaining power now.  :)
• studying for my 7 is going really well.  it pays to know it all ahead of time! 
• i'm heading up some committee and focus group since i'm known as a "fighter".  whatever that means.  anyway, its good performance review material!
• *secret* ;)  this one will be addressed later.

thats like a bullet point for each day of the year.  i hope my streak doesnt end!  :D

i got tix to see arizona lacrosse...  HELL YEAH!  i totally didnt know there was gonna be a lacrosse team out here, but lisa is now super stoked.  i'm goin in feb when they play anaheim.  i doubt any of the games would be televised, but thats ok cause its pretty boring on tv.  i'm a little disappointed that all the games are at the glendale arena - i didnt think it should be built there, but rather in scottsdale.  i was going to boycott it, but now with this twist put in the mix, i had to rethink my whole stance on it.  and lacrosse is just too important.  http://www.arizonasting.com/index.php

my finger still isnt healed.  the deep part still doesnt have any feeling yet, but at the very least, it isnt as deep anymore.  i'd venture to say its half as deep right now.  but knowing my luck it'll fall off or get infected or something cause it doesnt seem to be getting too much blood flow.  but i hate going to the doctor, so if it gets to that point, then i'll go. 

i think my car is broken again.  i never got a chance to get the positive battery cable replaced since everything was closed over the weekend.  so i am gonna be *cough* sick ;-) and try to get it fixed in the morning and go to work later in the day if possible.  i only have one sick day left and tuesday i have to stay late, wednesday i fly to austin after work.  so the only day i have is tomorrow.  if i had any other manager i'd tell the truth but my new one is a total stickler for that sort of thing.  its possible that she'd not use sick hours and i'd have to make it up later in the week - which i cant do.

1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year?  learning to be flexible.  theres nothing wrong with constant change.

2. What was your biggest disappointment?  not being able to get a new car. :(

3. What do you hope the new year brings?  i hope either i or my bf move.  and i hope to move out of my apt regardless.

4. Will you be making any New Year's resolutions? If yes, what will they be?  YES! :P  my new years resolution is to save money!  i need it!  oh and to not eat lima beans ;)  no wait, thats always what i give up for lent. :P

5. What are your plans for New Year's Eve?  ok this is tricky because they may have just changed.  but at any rate, i am going to austin.  work is being dumb on me cause my job pretty much comes to a head at the end of the year, 12/31 being my deadline.  so that means i cant take off early and the only flight out after i get done isn't until 7pm.  i'll get in late, so its unlikely that i'll get in with enough time to get anywhere cool so i think i'm going to the bfs house for nye.  he's supposed to cook and get me drunk :D
