Does Anybody Really Think... ...that Superman would lose a fight to Thor? And yes, Windows is still all f**ked up on this PC. I've already had four reboots today and this is the third fourth fifth sixth time I've tried to post this. A complete reinstall seems to be inevitable. What this computer needs is an enema. All Fixed... Not! After much wailing and gnashing of teeth ZoneAlarm Pro 5.0 is history and 4.5 is reinstalled - and re-learning what can and can't access the internet on this machine. Unfortunately the problem is NOT solved. According to System File Checker it's something to do with "missing dll's." If you own a Mac you won't know or care what a dll is. Anyhow, a virus scan shows nothing and I'm going to be screwing with the registry once I back everything up. If that fails it's time for a complete reinstall of the OS I guess. Friggin' Windows. I Hate My PC This is the 4th time I've tried to post this today. I'm having major problems with my Windows machine that hosts the local copy of this Weblog. I've rebooted the damn thing 4 times already today. My Mac hasn't crashed once or needed to be rebooted in the year and a half I've had it. I'm thinking of transfering this blog over to my PowerBook, once I figure out how to do it. I'm getting increasingly fed up with Windows XP. File under Geek Talk. 7:23:46 PM
