When I talked about the relevance of Knowledge (4th bullet), I wasn't fully aware that I was striking the nerve of 'The Second Superpower', regardless of how you define the term. The fact that meaning can be washed out becomes a sudden side effect of just manufacturing serendipity is quite striking.

I have to thank Sam for pointing out the relevance of this.
