The line was long at the bank last Friday so I decided to get $200 from the ATM out front. I slipped my card in and punched in the numbers and the machine said "please remove your card and wait for your cash and receipt". The little cash door opened up and the machine started making the money shuffling noise but then nothing happened. So I waited, and waited, and waited. It took over 5 minutes and finally the little door snapped shut and the receipt popped out saying I had taken out $200! What the ****! So I ended up having to go into the bank and filling out a couple of forms and then waiting while the manager got me $200 more dollars out of my account. It took about 30 minutes! It was supposed to have been cleared up by today but as I sit and look at my account online, all I still see is a -$200 debit for the transaction. I guess I'll have to call the bank tomorrow :( Crap, looks like this may turn into a long and painful experience :(

Also from "Marc's Outlook on Productivity" comes this little piece of freeware that acts as a companion to MS Outlook. Check it out. Sweet!!
They say that what you don't know won't hurt you, but in the case of computers that is definitely not true. Knowing what your computer is running and how it affects your system is a must. "Marc's Outlook on Productivity" had an article a few days ago about an application called "The Ultimate Troubleshooter" from a website called "Answers that Work". This little jewel of a program tells you what programs are running, what services are running, and what startup programs are installed. Then it tells you in very clear terms whether they should be deleted, whether they are okay or whether it can go either way. It also gives a very detailed description on what hardware is installed on your computer. Rip that $20 out of your wallet and download this application right away. It could save you ton's of grief down the line!!
