The Download Squad had a good article on three productivity boosters for windows. I downloaded and am using two of them right now, Taskbar Shuffle (rearrange your taskbar) and Visual Task Tips (visually see what programs are running in your taskbar). One of the comments on the post leads to a post on Chris Pirillo's site, with some additional good downloads, including: icolorfolder (adds color to your folder icons), DesktopSave (saves the position of the icons on your desktop if they ever get rearranged, which they will do if you install icolorfoder!) and Unlocker (unlocks things that you are trying to delete from your computer). I was also led to a new and improved version of Stickies, the popular program for putting stickie notes right on your desktop. All of these little programs make windows a little easier to use. All of them are free, so give them a try and see if they can help you out.
