Tomorrow is the big day for closing on the new house. At this moment all looks well, although apparently folks are still working on paperwork. For those who have not heard, we had a roller coaster ride on the sale of our home. Needless to say, I am not recommending the mortgage company that IMHO defrauded the buyer. She is paying more in closing costs (legitimate costs, albeit unatticipated due to negligence on the brokers part), a higher rate (6.0 when she was promised 5.75 and some folks are getting 5.5 now) and rendered cruddy service that caused the title company (great folks) to bend over backwards to accomodate us. All the delays and inaction lead to a day late close on the sale of our home (imagine the horror for our buyers agent, the sellers agent and the homeowners of our new home who had already watched a deal fall apart around us once before). I think they might finally sleep through the night tomorrow. Us too.

Well, lessee.
First buyer ended up not fully approved in the end. We now have a new P/A for the sale of our home (God is good) and the home we wanted did not sell to another while we were looking for our new buyer (God is great). I'm taking my lunch to go write a new offer on the home we wanted in the first place.
Classes and finals at U-M are done or ending (depends on school). Summer staff starts Monday and I look forward to that a greast deal. I better spend lots of time prepping this weekend.
Topics du jour: Crystal Reports 9, PHP cookbook were purchased, for my self education.

Alright then, just under 1 month lapse this time. I can at least explain this away as having not had the software installed.
- Reading continues, but not at the pace previously desired.
- Home searching is done, just waiting for the final paperwork signing dates to be set.
- Work has been decent. A few good size projects working out well. Working with students still proves to be tough.
