Tablet twitchThis Fujitsu has got a frustrating flaw. I'm guessing it's because this is a program tablet. The cursor will go down to the bottom right corner and start clicking and invoke the calendar a bunch of times. Pen or no pen. Sometimes it will go to the bottom left and invoke the start menu over and over again. Can't figure out what causes this. pooter. 11:12:18 PM comment [] |
Kitchen applianceI've put the dock for the Fujitsu in the kitchen now. It's weird being so mobile, having the doc upstairs in the study was inconvenient to use. I don't want to put the doc on my coffee table, having a toddler. We've got some counter space in our kitchen next to the phone, just outside of the cooking area and that's where i've had the plugs for the tablet and the ti-book over the holidays. Its been really nice not to have to run upstairs to look something up. I'd consider getting a laptop for home and putting it there. I'm getting the ah-ha moment for what the snow white imacs were about. The flat screen imacs are beautiful, but they are getting to be a high enough performance machine, that it seems a waste to put it in the kitchen, i won't be sitting down to do edit dv movies there. Maybe we need a work desk in the kitchen? Or maybe this dock and tablet will do nicely. 11:06:52 PM comment [] |
Happy New Year, back on the slateI've been off the slate for a few days, i've been trying to help prep my daughter's "big girl room" before baby #2 comes and the painting didn't work out so well, so it's taking a bit longer than expected. Tomorrow is furniture building day. My daughter has been requesting "Tablet." She likes to draw using windows journal. It's interesting to watch her as an internalizer, she won't remember life without the tablet and is learning to use it at the same rate as the Performa 5200 I set up for her. 10:40:17 PM comment [] |
