I have worn out the "Evanesence" CD since purchasing it last weekend. Love it. It's way produced, and I don't seem to mind. What I can't figure out is why the record company spent so much money on production of a first albumn for a band. Is it possible that someone pulled their head out of the sand and recognized the talent and invested in it?
I like to think of them as hard rock, but even my wife likes it so I'll have to back off that categorization for now.

Brave New World. This article in Wired reminded me of our own MP3 Piranha:A little application that lets you create a digital music library on your desktop from the CD covers on Amazon.com -- that would be cool. It's happening, it all depends on XML and, so far, it's legal. [CapeBlog]
The wired article is really interesting. A little sneak preview of some of the new breed of Internet applications and platforms. I'm going to have to seek out and download the Clutter application they mention.
CapeScience's MP3 Piranha sounds interesting, too.

Awesome song. Is this a revival of rock drama?

Just heard Jesse Cook jamming out some awesome instrumental guitar on Radio Paradise. The song was called Virtue.

Just heard a cool song by this guy, but didn't catch the title. He's got a really cool website. Been listening to Radio Paradise this morning.
