Wow, its about time... I needed some inspiration for a new newbie tip..thanks for newbie users..the question was how to add a graphic as a navigator link. I have no idea how to use it inside the navigator link macro itself but I do have newbie tips on how to add graphics, how to add graphics under the navigator link macro and now the new newbie tip: how to add a link to the graphic..wonderful idea..

I so get the trackback feature now thanks to the TweezerMan..basically in plain english, if I see a number in my trackback link, that means that someone has link to my post on their blog. If I want to refer to something on their blog, then I just link it in my post and they will see a trackback link on their blog. Simply I don't really have to do anything special, the trackback feature takes care of it.
Giving back to userland... David aka TweezerMan, comments on my original post about finding things funny because people are bitching about Userland and their lack of response to problems. I have a couple of comments in return and in theory, this will put a trackback link on his post and on my original post because I linked both posts here in this post.
3. "...should I email Dave and tell him..hire me, I can do the job?" - "Yes, absolutely!!"
how would you word the email? (especially since the job doesn't exist)

I want to nominate David aka TweezerMan, the rogue radio rat of the week. I've noticed that he has helped alot of people on the discussion board this week with problems, new macros, etc..

I've been trying to stop smoking..nothing is working..my doctor suggested acupuncture or hypnosis...my problem is trying to find a certifed acupuncturist or hypnotherapist that isn't on vacation for the next 2 weeks and/or cost less than $225.00 for the initial visit. I'm unemployed..so anything more than $100.00 is not an option right now..
- Has anyone tried either of these ideas to quit smoking?
- Does anyone know a good hypnotherapist or a good acupunturist located in the East Bay?
I've done google searches and other search engines..and yes alot of sites talk about hypnosis as an alternative therapy for quitting smoking but no links..which is frustrating..figured I might get a better response here. Thanks for any ideas.

I worked on my other website today - renamed it the winds of magick and creativity (check left side navigation links for site)..ended of re-doing the whole site and uploading it several times to comcast ftp server..which for some reason doesn't like the frontpage link bars..its a basic site..mainly for family related history, recipes however I did create a section for radio theme ideas..works in progress..brain is fried..need to go do something else for awhile..

Since I can't figure out how to do a table of contents page where it actually updates by itself, I figure hmm, why don't i just use the table of contents page for a wish list page also...assuming that I have that many wishes, it will at least be updated every once in a while until I can figure out how to create a table of contents page that lists by main stories and also by categories..hmmm...wish number one..

I finally get the trackback concept and its down again..maybe trackback should have its own server? just a thought (ok its back up again..)
My mom doesn't like my blog title..its not like this site mentions sex or anything- its weird having my mom read this blog..I have nothing to hide but its my mom..she told me to change the title..not happening. And yes, I get weird referrers to this site but once they get here - either they leave or read the blog..interesting in itself...maybe its my inner personality.
although there are some good erotic blogs out there...
I can't spell lately, my brain must be thinking faster than my hands again..
Found interesting questions on the sexy six..although personally, I'd get myself in trouble if I answered any of the questions..
and its funny, you know who uses radio because you get the same run time error on every page you visit that you are getting on your own blog  which is working again.....

working on two new template designs one based on a paper texture and one is a peachy/meringue colors(this one you actually are going to have to see to understand)..except I don't want to change my homepage template..just a category template or two and would also like to share the template designs..any ideas how to do this without changing my homepage templates..

I wonder how long someone can completely ignore someone without it getting weird that they never answer any of my questions. Its not like at this point, I think we could even be friends..whats the point, you never answer me anyways..here's the weird thing about it, I know you are awake at 1am, 2am..because that is just you..but really, talking to me will not kill you. I might even have something wonderful to say..I really do miss the scattered conversations late at night when no one else is awake..and yes, the lighting storms are amazing..if I could figure out the trackback stuff, I'd link to you but then I'd probably make you mad because everyone would know who I was talking about. I'm frustrated in more ways than one..I thought we were friends or at least still trying to be friends..guess I was wrong?? check with you in a year or two..thanks for everything, you know what I mean..

Quitting smoking is hard. I thought I bought my last pack of cigarettes yesterday, I was wrong. I bought the patch and tried it this morning..I bought the 7mg patch and its too strong for me..made me sick, made my arm hurt...and I just really wanted a cigarette with my coffee...one more pack...now I feel really sick.
I've stopped smoking in the car, I don't really want a cigarette at night except before I go to bed. I stopped smoking in the bedroom area of the house..and I'm tired of eating carrotts and celery sticks..and gum isn't working, neither is candy..both of which I don't like that much..
any suggestions?

I've always wondered where I got this talent to write, to see words as images in my head and weave thoughts and patterns from those images to create a story or a poem. My mom wrote this story which is beautiful and sad at the same time. This talent must be inherited from mom to daughter, a gift from one to another, a special place born from life and wonder. I never knew my mom could write like this, I guess I never saw her talent before. I knew she could write but not to the point that I laughed and cried at the same time. As I read it, I thought this is better than my stories. And with her permission, the story of finding love in unlikely places is here to share with everyone.

Learn something new tonight..when I updated my poetry category page with an additional description, my blogroll disappeared because that's not part of the template design..very interesting....on that note, new poem created....remember to shake well, is it an erotic poem or a poem about something else..you decide.

otherwise I'm afraid its going to fall into that category of things I just don't get such as filling my tires with air (not a complicated thing, just eludes me somehow and its not like i don't know how to work on my car - I do); second item, stocks(and this one is bizarre, I've done financial analysis and i'm an accounting mgr but gotta me).
But I really want to get the trackback concept. The main questions are:
- how do I use trackback from another person's blog?

Don't know why I find this funny..but everyone is bitching about the lack of response from Userland, calling them names, etc...there are only two guys working on the problems and they both have lives outside of Userland and their jobs. I realize its frustrating as all hell when the response that comes back sounds like a dotcom techno babble that makes no sense to anyone but the person that wrote it or possibly another system admin that totally understands his frustration on why the damn servers keep going down and probably in the middle of the night when he's sleeping..they need to hire another person to help them with the basic day to night system admin stuff..for example the discussion board, the basic newbie troubleshooting and questions, someone that uses Radio frequently and sees the problems happening. The question is should I email Dave and tell him..hire me, I can do the job? I want to be a radio rat (but in a good sense) :)
Maybe I find it funny because I had the shortest interview in the history of the world today..1 minute. I didn't like the guy right away and apparently he didn't like me either and after 3 days of trying to hunt this guy down for an interview and when I finally get him on the phone he tells me 5pm, Starbucks, xxxx and xxxx and hangs up..should have known. Then I get there, realize I have no idea what this guy looks like, called him to find out..his response: "hispanic, short and wearing a white shirt"..damn that described half the men at Starbucks today..hint #2..this guy didn't care about anyone but himself and apparently doesn't like women very much. First question he asks: "you're not a cabler?" mainly more of a statement than a question..hint #3....oh well, first interview after being fired..wasn't the right job for me..really did I want to climb poles and install cable modems in people's houses..I think not.

Boredom has set in but I get to figure out my new phone..all the time in the world now. Finally figured out how to send an image to my email..this is getting cool. So here is the unfinished deck project..

I had another contractor come out and look at the bathroom, I swear at this point, I'll just do it myself..I've got plenty of free time now and really how hard could it be. I just need tools..any other out of work people want to help? The most difficult part of this project - is getting the current tub out. I can re-route the electrical switch, I can tear out the ceiling and replace with green board and hopefully the plumbing is not the original cast iron because then I can relocate the toilet to the side, install a shower unit. The problem with the contractor this morning..wanted to know if the place was legal..oops..sorta of, sorta of not. So I can paint, re-lay the vinyl flooring and really I don't need marble in there..fiberglass works for me. I should just do it myself..I'd probably get it done faster considering I would want to take a shower at the end of the day..hmmm..maybe if I don't get a job soon..

Went back and saw Scabaret last night, its definetly a better performance on Saturday nights. Still an awesome show. You could pick one character each week and follow that character from beginning to end, go back the next week, follow a different character and each week you would get something new out of the performance.
The SF Chronicle did a review on it, "the ideas are less well worked out than the general attitude and the intent to shock is too obvious." Robert Hurwitt, SF Chronicle review. I don't agree with this assessment of the performance, I knew what scabaret was about and I was still shocked. I think if he had seen the show on a Saturday night he might have been awestruck. The performance was tighter more put together than the Friday night show I saw.
I still recommend that everyone go see it before it ends, its definetly worth the $10-15. You never know, you just might meet me there..maybe a blogger night out....

thank you everyone for being so supportive of this new chapter in my life..being terminated (details soon)..there are several of you very curious as to who my boss was and where I worked and I might reveal that some day but for now I'm leaving it alone just in case of further actions I might take against him..but for the really really curious..check this link called So What?
God I'm bored..I know think of it like a mini vacation but during a vacation I could spend money and do something. My backyard project is now on hold, no money to finish the deck or buy the cement..(I was planning on pouring cement in the back to have a walkway and a small patio area next to the deck..) Finishing the house projects are on hold - no money. The bathroom on the other hand - the landlord is paying for so that continues..
And on top of it, I decided to quit smoking..only 5 more cigarettes left and that's it!!!!!
I think I'm no longer angry and just moved on to the boredom stage, I want to be working and I've gotten alot of calls from headhunters today..good sign..and I have potential options with ex-co-workers who know me..so something will work out..but I'm bored..and I want to go dancing :)

I have officially entered the ranks of the unemployed.
Finally got my wish today of getting fired..I don't think its really sunk in yet..probably tommorrow when I try to figure out my bills...well at least now I can take contract work and my ex-boss (yeah!! i can say that now) asked me if they needed help with anything would I help? I told him sure, as a paid contractor at my normal PC repair rates..he agreed...I give him two days. A friend as work gives him one day before he calls..since the network is currently down..probably will be first thing in the morning (the network engineer left on vacation today with no contact..funny, this wasn't a planned event). The other bizarre stupid thing is he actually gave me 30 days to get to work on time or he would terminate me...did he screw himself by terminating me? Only time will tell...
I guess the prediction was right but it had nothing to do with the blogging..

I had this weird dream last night....wondering if its possible to install Mac OS X on a PC on a separate partion, I have the room on this hard drive..but would it work?? Maybe it spurned from the all the Microsoft patches I've had to do lately at work to stop worms that only microsoft software is vulnerable too..not sure..could be..
Another cool thing..I got this new cell phone..Nokia 3650 the one with the PDA, the camera and mMode..having fun learning how to use it and trying to figure out bluetooth and how it works...because if I can figure it out, I can download my contacts from my PC to my phone...yesterday I got the PDA in the mMode section working via the foncsync on the internet but would I would really like is my contacts downloaded into the digital part of the phone instead of having to manually re-enter them.. I think I might have a workaround until I can afford/learn bluetooth (sync my palm pilot with outlook, clean up the palm pilot and then use the infrared ports to download my contacts..might work, only one way to find out - get batteries for the palm pilot and try it)

My boss is either a complete moron or just doesn't believe me..ok, so I know the answer to both..yes, complete moron and doesn't believe a word I say about technology or the network. I've been telling him over and over and over and over again that we have a virus on the network, all the computers are infected by the w32/pate virus..which once this virus has been executed and trust me it has on all network shares and every drive...it infects every PE and SCR file. Although just figured out where the little sucker is on my work computer, the main viral code is dropped to a randomly name TMP file in the Windows temp directory (no wonder my anti-virus software couldn't remove it). The file is 172KB in size. (the funny thing is I know that a good portion of us(employees), have anti-virus software at home so we aren't getting infected when we work from home but he probably has infected his home PC and the other boss, probably has too and if the laptop is infected and he's bringing it to customer's site for demos, then he could potentially be infecting customer's networks, etc (ok i know that not totally funny about the customer's networks only in a warped way)....like I said moron)
So today he told me about the new computers he bought, finally real computers(new Dells, P4 with 40GB HD) not pentium and pII clones and crappy used corrupted hard drives PCs with only 9GB harddrives and that I should use ghost for the new hard drives...can I scream now???
Why the hell would I want to infect 30 new computers with a virus right off the bat? And as for ghost, hmm, last I checked we don't have the program. Nor any other type of program such as Drive Image (well I have Drive Image but its my software, he wouldn't pay me for it, I'm not sharing). He doesn't want to buy anti-virus software, so I doubt he's going to want to buy Ghost. Either way, I'm refusing to use it if he does buy it..hmmm, maybe that will get me fired..
my boss is a moron..completely confirmed by today's stupid comments..and I refuse to stroke his ego any longer..

Poetry page has been updated with new theme and new poems.....(sienna)
weird funky mood today..woke up sad, not even sure what I was dreaming about.. I wrote a new poem yesterday but I'm not sure I really want anyone to read it..but its a good poem so I don't want to delete it......(peru)
maybe I just need to get off the computer today, get up and go work out in the backyard, finish the deck and pool area, get some sun and fresh air...(orange)
bathroom update since I know a few people are following that saga..need to call and schedule the contractors for bids..I know what I want in there and I know the color scheme I would like in there..and honestly if I knew how to remove a built in tub enclosure, I just do it myself at this point..but I need help....and the original contractor is finally meeting me here today at 5pm......(chocolate)
one more thought..I found a possible new way of dealing with the table of contents page and found this interesting script but not sure where to start with insert it, do I put it in my home page template for the toc category page? any thoughts on this one would be great...copy of script here.. Really if you are in the Bay Area, you've gotta go see this show..it will wake up your mind, set free your soul and show you that life isn't all about work and more work...playing every weekend through September and its only 10-15 dollars...a MUST SEE...trust me, go see the show..
Erin's (Lucy Fur) voice is beautiful and the clown is hilarious, mr whitefolks is great -just got to see him to understand him, the music is fantastic and the dance numbers with Mr. Ection and the TV heads..you got to see them to believe it. The whole cast was great..great people.

My bosses definetly must have the mentality of a dog...you know how when a dog gets a ball and all they can think about is the ball? My boss can only think about himself and not anyone else(the ME mentality) and most definetly not about someone might need to sleep if they worked a 17 hour shift..I COULD HAVE SCREAMED THIS AFTERNOON (technically yesterday afternoon but its still my Thursday night).
I got home at 7am on Thursday after working from 12:30pm (wednesday) through 6am (thursday). Just as I was about to lay down and finally sleep, first phone call from a co-worker to tell me the internet was down...it was up when I left..got me, told her to call the Network Engineer - he's the one that deals with that stuff anyways...
Just when I was about to get into that deep sleep..I get a call from the Network Engineer telling me that the email is spooling in our spam filter and could I unspool it remotely since he couldn't remember the password and then he goes on to ask me some questions..but then realized that he woke me up..totally not mad at him, apparently no one tells him anything either.
So I finally got back to sleep...my boss calls me at 2pm and tells me the air conditioner isn't working and how does he turn it on and oh, did he wake me up? That is why I could have screamed...sleep people, I NEED SLEEP..there are other people who know how to fix these things...try all resources first then call the person that worked a 17 hour shift and wake her up...really, where is his brain? ON THE BALL, its called EVERYTHING IS ABOUT ME MENTALITY!

ok..so I changed my theme yet again..but I like it even better this time. And I think the template is available for others now (sorta of based on my favorite color)
Totally afraid to change my desktop website page to my new theme..but I'm changing one of my category pages..so if that works then maybe I'll tackle the desktop theme.
Anyone happen to know how to change the default hyperlinks in the blogroll??
