Important School Choice Vote

The Vermont State Board of Education will formally consider a resolution in support of school choice at its Tuesday, January 20 meeting. At that time, the Board will accept public comments on school choice. It is important that we show our support for the Board’s efforts to advance school choice and for the Governor’s initiative. As the Governor has said, public school choice should not be a privilege reserved only for the wealthy. It should be the right of all Vermonters.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

The best thing you can do is to attend the meeting and voice your support for school choice.

If you cannot attend please e-mail a statement of support to the Governor’s office at: http://www.vermont.gov/governor/contact.html. Your statement will be hand delivered to the State Board of Education.

The State Board of Education can be contacted at: cking@doe.state.vt.us or (802) 828-5101.
