At the deli last night, I overheard people at the next table complaining about how Saturday Night Live wasn't funny now that Will Farrell has left. This is a perennial complaint about this program. It seems like whenever SNL is mentioned, someone invariably says that it's not as good as it used to be. Well, folks, I'm going to let you in on a little secret: Saturday Night Live was never good. Not when Dana Carvey was on. Not when Eddie Murphy was on. Not even when Steve Martin was on. Never. Okay, Mr. Bill was funny. But that's it. 7:54:37 AM    comment []

Apple has released a new version of iTunes and a new music service. This stuff is pretty cool, particularly iTunes. I need to reduce clutter. I own way too much stuff. I get on these clutter reducing kicks from time to time, but they never really go anywhere. The fact is, I own a lot of things that I don't use, but I can't bear to get rid of them for fear that I will need them in the future.
