Am I misreading this?

From eWeek (March 31st), Red Hat 9 forces stability Gamble:

"Be advised, however, that Red Hat has announced plans to end updates and support for Versions 7.1 through 8.0 at the end of this year, and subsequent releases will come with one year of support each."

OK folks, I may be tired but it sounds as if you bought 8.0 today, you would only get support for 8.5 months?  I can't imagine that.  Our mainstream support has a 5 year lifecycle of mainstream support.  What am I missing here?

Radio Static

Damn!  Radio does not want to work with me tonight.  Trying to post things and it just doesn't want to do it.  Argh!  Also, seems that the RSS feed has fritzed-out as well.  OK, figured out the problem...but still need to work on the RSS feed since it seems everyone on www.dotnetweblogs.com is going RSS aggregator crazy...yes, I did download SharpReader!

Geekin' Out

Found a really cool blog at The Geek Out.  I really like how he uses cartoon drawings instead of typical text posts.  I would do it myself if I could only learn to draw.  Check it out.

GO STARS!

In case you do not know, I am a big Dallas Stars fan (NHL Hockey team for those of you who do not know the greatness!).  It looks like they not only clinched the West but our goalie, Marty Turco got his seventh shutout of the season and with that broke the record for allowing the fewest goals per game.  We are now moving forward to the playoffs on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers.  I had hoped we would face the Minnesota Wild since there is quite a rivalry there.  But it will be fun to play Edmonton as we seem to always meet them in the first round (and beat them).  But my dream is for us to play Detroit and wipe them out.  I get tired of hearing folks talk about "Hockeytown".  It's like I said, anyone can put Hockeytown on their ice.  So I hope we get to go after them after we get through the Oilers.  GAME ON!
