NY Daily Nudes: This IS the naked city
AIDS activists had New Yorkers dropping their jaws when they dropped their trousers and everything else on Eighth Ave., across from the heavily guarded Madison Square Garden just after noon.
"We're telling the naked truth," said a nude Sharonann Lynch, 35, of Greenwich Village, one of 11 ACT UP protesters who took part in the cheeky demonstration.
The Rude Pundit has plenty to say FOR and AGAINST the demonstrations.

A hijacked airliner never hit the Pentagon
Following up on previous posts about the "911 in Plane Sight" video, here's John Kaminski's take on it:
8-19-04
I challenge anyone to watch the new "911 In Plane Site" video and still believe the government's story that a jet airliner full of passengers hit the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. It simply can't be done. I'll bet anyone any amount of anything that they just can't do it.
[snip]
What this means for the American people is that the story President Bush, Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, and all those other government officials told the world that day is a lie, a gigantic and bald-faced lie.
A hijacked airliner never hit the Pentagon, and this film proves it.
[snip]
Since day one, the only thing that every single, skeptical 9/11 researcher has ever wanted during all the research they have undertaken during the past three years is one single, irrefutable fact that could disprove the government's blatant lie. Because proving one lie means their whole story is false. One provable lie means 9/11 is not what they said it was.
[snip]
Indictments and arrests should begin immediately based on this film alone. more

global flu pandemic - working the rubes
Yesterday, surfing over to Break for News, a great site, I ended up listening to an audio interview (mp3) with Jon Rappoport. It starts off about AIDS, HIV, and cancer, then veers off into 911, psyops, and the intentional crippling of imagination. Well worth a listen. If you listened, this, then, posted by Jon over at his nomorefakenews.com, will make more sense:
DRUG FOR GLOBAL FLU PANDEMIC
AUGUST 26, 2004. The ball is rolling on the PR campaign to convince us that a global flu pandemic is coming up.
"The sky is falling. Stay indoors."
[snip (about the
serious side effects)]
Two major studies on Tamiflu measured the time it took for cessation of flu symptoms...drug versus placebo.
The drug outperformed the sugar pill by 1.3 days.
One of the key buttons being pushed by the PR flacks: "O my God, there is a great shortage of the flu drugs and vaccines. Who will get them? Who will be left out? How do we establish priorities? We need more money to pay the drug companies to step up production. MAYBE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE OVER THE PRODUCTION ITSELF."
Reminds me of an old cartoon. Panel one: guy opens up a new store. Panel two: the next day he puts up big signs---GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE---LAST CHANCE---PRICES SLASHED---BUY NOW WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
Working the rubes, baby. Working the rubes.
A little later, there it was in my news headlines, U.S. Prepares for Possible Flu Outbreak - "The United States may have to close schools, restrict travel and ration scarce medications if a powerful new flu strain spurs a worldwide outbreak".

Blogging: CONNECTION REFUSED, AND FIXED
Yesterday I had a burp in my ability to blog. The "Radio Userland" tool I use relies on a connection To their server From *my* server (their Tool running), and theirs was refusing a connection. The link goes to a Discussion Group thread I started asking for help. This chap Steve Hooker is a sensational helper, a real programming guru with a heart. But it turns out there was nothing wrong with their server or my local 'server' tool at all. Boiling it down, what fixed it was restoring my C drive from a drive image I'd made back on August 2nd with Powerquest DriveImage 7, which anyone on Windows really should have.
Turns out not everything is fixed. Long story, but I've ended up with fonts and various other elements from months ago.
