Discrimination networks and production systems Discrimination networks still don't seem right to me for generalized logic systems such as JLS. It seems as though only some logic might benefit. And even then only specific logic instances. Furthermore, the complexity of managing the net for those logics that might benefit vs. those that don't as well as logical support seems more prohibitive than simply having smart triggering and directly re-evaluating logic that is affected. And all that without even addressing the memory overhead especially in high-volume short session oriented environments.
I recently ran across 'Gator' networks and decided to think about this once again.
