1 day to go
Thanks to the wonders of Sky Digital, I was able to watch Newsnight Scotland on BBC2 Scotand last night. You just can't believe my good fortune, can you?
Anyway, like every other current affairs program this week, it had a feature on the current state of football finances. It was the usual statement of the bleeding obvious delivered with real gravitas. But the USP of this particular show was the powerful combination of Motherwell administrator Bryan Jackson and Falkirk chairman Campbell Christie.
Bryan Jackson is proposing that groundsharing is one of the key solutions to football's money woes. Now the irony of this was not lost on me, nor the presenter, and I think Campbell Christie may just have picked up on it as well. Motherwell were one of the key obstacles to Falkirk's promotion at the end of last season, refusing to accept that Falkirk's proposed groundshare was acceptable to meet SPL stadium rules.
Pure comic drama as only the BBC can do it.
