Movies on the plane

I'm over in Seattle at the moment, attending a bunch of meetings. I'm based at The Willows Lodge

The trip over was long and tiring.

On the Sydney to Los Angeles leg (14.5 hours), I got to watch 3 movies:

  1. 40 Year Old Virgin
I really enjoyed this movie. Sure, the language was crude but it felt authentic.  Steve Carell was great, and I find Catherine Keener really hot. I've had a thing for her since Being John Malkovich. Don't know why.
  2. Capote
All I can say is "WOW". This is a pretty intense movie. Philip Seymour Hoffman *WAS* Truman Capote. By co-incidence, this also had  Catherine Keener in the movie playing Nelle Harper Lee, the author of "To Kill A Mockingbird", one of my all time favourite book & movie.
  3. Walk The Line
Another BioPic, and another "WOW". Joaquin Phoenix  *WAS* Johnny Cash. The music was wonderful. I really got into that Johnny Cash vibe. It's inspired me to go and find the soundtrack

Time to rest....

LinkedIn

I got a LinkedIn request this evening, which made me look at my stats

Last time I posted about LinkedIn was last year in May, and my network has grown a fair bit since then.

VB Series Game 11 : Australia v South Africa

Australia hit a record score of 6-344 in tonight's match against South Africa at the SCG, with Man of the Match Adam Gilchrist smashing 88 in 66 balls. He is back in form!

Australia's total was their highest against South Africa and the second-highest at the SCG in one-day internationals.

South Africa was never really in the race, as the graph below shows, however, their final score of 6-287 was the highest ever losing score at the SCG in one-day internationals.
