Darci Chapman was born and raised (for the most part) in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and currently resides near Portland, Oregon. She is a former hi-tech professional embarking on her second career as a graduate student enrolled in University of Washington's distance MLIS program. Currently, she plies her trade as a contract technical writer and actively volunteers at a nearby public library, at answerland.org and through SMART.

Darci loves to travel and has had the good fortune to visit places such as Australia, Guatemala, Argentina, and several countries throughout western Europe. Sweden is a special favorite of hers if only because that's where her husban is from. Other hobbies she enjoys include reading, learning, blogging, camping, and spending time on the Oregon coast.
