An open love letter to bloggers
Lying in bed last night after staying up much, much, much too late reading blogs.
I was thinking how happy -- no -- excited (in a little kid, jumping up and down, clapping one's hands kind of way) I was to have begun to discover the depth and breadth of the blogosphere.
Fast approaching the far side of 35, I was starting to feel that aside from on-line shopping, reading the news, and a few great list serves, the internet thing had lost its charm for me. And then I stumbled across this wonderful global grown-up conversation that is the blogosphere.
I am so grateful to all the smart, opinionated people who are out there reading, writing, talking, arguing, and debating. Quite frankly I have no idea how folks find the time to do it. But I am so happy its all there.
Update
At the end of a very long day. Checking in with some of my favorite blogs and my heart speeds up when I read that Prometheus 6 has blogrolled me! I am so excited -- as goofy as that sounds. Now I feel compelled to find some time in the next couple of days to try and write something worth reading by someone else. It will be hard with everything I have scheduled. Maybe by Monday night. In the meantime, feel free to check out my old blog at Xanga [see link to the right] for a taste of what I have been up to in my brief blogging life to date.
