I am so enjoying having people come by and comment. I am practically bouncing up and down in my chair with little-kid glee as I type this. Connection -- maude, it feels great! I really have no desire to go back to school in any formal way, but I do miss the atmosphere of collective inquiry. Connecting with people through blogging feels like a very promising way to generate that.
In other news: my nearly 4 year old appears to have mastered "potty-learning." Today is his second day wearing real big-boy underwear [garishly decorated with intense Jurassic Park creatures and fossil skulls that glow in the dark]. So far so good. I am so enormously proud of him. I just keep telling him, "You have become so good at listening to your body and knowing what it needs." I think he is pretty pleased with himself too. At least 4 times today he has said, "I love you, Mommy" out of nowhere.
Happy day...
